Here is something I never knew. Stonekeeper shards can be used to purchase BOA consumables that yields 2000 honor. This is a great way to honor up some alts. This is even better for getting some epic gems, provided you have no use for actual honor.
I personally stopped PvP during the BC. I've only purchased one item ever with these Stonekeeper shards. If your like me, chances are you have a stockpile of these shards and don't even know it. Through my 4 80's I had enough shards to purchase over 90 of these things. That's 180k honor, or 18 epic gems. I cut 18 Solid Mygestic Zircons. I posted 10 of them last night and they all sold for slightly over 200g. Market low price was about 226g. I posted the rest today and hopefully they sell as well. All in all it's almost like getting 3600g for free, since I have no use for honor.
While Stonekeeper shards aren't worth farming, if you have them already, and aren't in need of honor they are a great way to earn some extra gold. I'm lucky to be on a server where my faction controls wintergrasp most of the time. I will be running a lot of random dungeons in the future and will probably have another stock pile to cash in with in a few weeks. No farming, it just goes hand in hand with running dungeons.

A good portion of my profits are earned in this manner. I also spend many of my Triumph emblems on gems to sell as well. It's all profit, and the only PVPing I do is wintergrasp and the PVP daily quest, unless I need to farm one or three marks to turn in the repeatable PVP. That, coupled with mining/JC catches a decent profit, I'm up to 13k gold at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI've spent all my Triumphs on my tanking set, then on my off set, and then on some heirloom gear. I intend to spend the rest that I earn on gems. As a tank I can easily queue up and get a run with in seconds. I can run one dungeon in twenty minutes. This is a great way to farm gold (using the emblems to buy gems) and it's fun to boot. The extra frosting is using the stone keeper shards to buy even more gems.
