Why no Inscription?

I have nothing against Inscription. It’s a fine profession. It can certainly make money, and I’m not out to prove it can’t, or that it is an inferior way to acquire gold. I personally choose not to use inscription because it is an area that already covered by almost every gold blog on the internet. Thanks to the famous mmo-champion article the AH is ripe with “get rich quickly” Inscription fiends. There are reasons why I’m not using Inscription.

The Inscription market is over saturated. Everyone and their mother has a script, they are all currently crafting ‘Glyph of sap’ in an attempt to hit it big. Inscription also takes a lot of set up work. Level to 450, learn all the glyphs, and other recipes. To be super profitable, Inscription requires a lot of sales. A lot of sales requires a lot of time at the mail box, and at the AH. It requires a lot of time milling, and crafting. Luckily there are a lot of add-ons to help with this process, but it still means a lot of time when you can’t play WOW. It’s fine if you are going to sit next to your PC and watch a TV show, but to each their own. There are other ways to make gold so that’s what I wish to explore.
