There is a good possibility that patch 3.3 will hit this week. In anticipation of this I've been hoarding some valuable mats which will hopefully sell high shortly after 3.3. My bank has plenty of herbs, and I have a limited supply of Frost Lotus. I wish I had more Frost Lotus, but the random nature of the northrend herbs hasn't been good to me lately, and I try not to purchase them off the AH. With that said, I did purchase a few off the AH, and I think I'm going to actually grab some more tonight. I think one, or two stacks should profit nicely come 3.3. I really feel flasks should sell well with the new raids and dungeons.
Apart from flasks I've also stock piled saronite ore (STOCK PILED, 500 bars worth). I didn't intend to buy SO much ore, but the price was so damn good this weekend (around 13g). I plan to convert most of this ore into bars, and then into titanium. Patch 3.3 is dropping the cooldown on transmute: titanium, no cooldown at all. I spent around 650g (50 stacks x 13g) on the mats. This should result in 500 saronite bars. 500/8 = 62 titanium bars. Titanium bars currently sell on the AH for 35g. I don't expect this cost to stay at 35g, but as long as titanium stays above 20g, I'm going to do well.
I wouldn't be completely shocked if the price for titanium bars sank to 10g. I left everything in ore form just incase this plan falls through. I can still prospect the ore. Hell, I could just vendor the bars and barely loose any money on this. I kind of wish I bought more, but the AH price did end up at 16g per ore stack, so I stopped buying.
