Not really any update, as this is my first status post, just wanted to make a record of where my gold is at as of 12/03/09. I'm currently sitting slightly above 30k. I only started hording gold two months ago. In addition to the 30k, I've purchased two epic flying, two cold weather flying, raised JC, Enchanting, Tailoring from 350 to 450, and bought two duel specs. All in all I'd say I've been able to acquire about 25g per month. Now with most of my expenses out of the way I can really start cracking down on moving towards the gold cap. All but one of my four level 80's have epic flying. I'm delaying on purchasing epic flying for my warlock as I just don't play him enough, and he doesn't have a gathering profession.
A breakdown on my characters, and professions:
-80 Protection Pally(w/ ret off spec) - main - 450 Alc/Herb.
-80 DPS DK(w/ off frost tanking) - 450 Blacksmith/Mining.
-80 Mage - 450 Jewel crafting/Mining.
-80 Warlock - 450 Enchanting/Tailoring.
Having access to 5 different crafting professions is great for earning gold. I highly recommend level 70+ alts just to have access to the various cool downs trade skills give. In my next post I'll discuss one of my favorite methods I've used to earn some quick gold using more then two professions.
