I am currently sitting at 32k gold. I started this weekend at 31k, went all the way up to 35k and decided I needed to craft some Saronite Swordbreakers (BOE ilvl 245 tanking bracer) Mats cost about 2.3k gold. I also purchased the BoE tanking cape. (400g). I just really wanted to replace my two blue items in my tanking set before 3.3. With crusader orbs as cheep as they are now, I figured now was the time to strike. Two enchants and some gems later (to make sure I was still defense capped), and I spent a total of 3k gold. How quickly gold goes now a days.
Had I planned this out better I would have purchased pre-made Saronite Swordbreakers from the AH going for 2k. It seems someone just wanted to get rid of them.
Status: 32k, and ready for patch 3.3. I have a bank full of herbs, lotus, saronite ore, and gems. I have a small stockpile of gems I equip for when I get new gear. I don't want to purchase off the AH at inflated prices. If I don't use the gems, then I will put them up for sale. The next few weeks will be exiting. Hopefully I can get back to 35k before the weekend.
